Why spend your weekends looking at yachts in the rain when you can come to Spain and look. The weather is normally hot ( 20ºC midday in winter ), many flights are now cheap and you will be looking at many British owned and registered yachts and relaxing in the sun.

Buying a yacht in Spain or Europe normally has no more risks than buying one at home. It can be the easiest solution if you want to base the yacht in the Med and cheaper than buying in the UK. Often the yacht, it's owner and registration are British and the sale covered by contracts and bills of sale in English. There are also a number of British surveyors working in Spain full time. The seller may also be of another European country with a very controlled registration that guarantees ownership and VAT paid status.

Buying your yacht in Spain or Europe can be as easy and rewarding as in the UK, normally the yacht has VAT paid status. We would always recommend that a full independant inspection/ survey is carried out and this can easily be arranged using British surveyors based in Spain.
